Amy’s Stuffed Mushrooms

I can’t think of a more luxurious appetizer than stuffed mushrooms. My husband absolutely loves these. You can add a tomato sauce on the top to give you a pizza feel, but my husband loves them plain. However you like to eat these, that’s up to you; but I just bet you close your eyes and smile while you chew!


1 lb Turkey Italian Sausage, hot
1 Onion, diced small
½ Cup Mozzarella Cheese
1 Cup Smoked Gouda or other soft cheese of your choice
½ Cup Parmesan Cheese
2 Packages of Mushrooms


1: Set oven for 400 degrees. Clean mushrooms, take steams out and with a small sharp spoon carve out inside to look like a bowl and put mushroom innards into pot.
2: Add Italian Sausage and onion to mushrooms innards in pot. Cook until meat is done and onions are soft and see through.
3: Let cool for about 5 minutes, then add cheeses and stir. Fill mushroom cups and place on baking sheet. Bake for about 15 to 17 minutes.
4: Put on a plate and enjoy!
